As the School Counselor at Perris Lake High School, I support students academically, socially/emotionally, and in preparing for life after high school. Within our continuation school setting, I provide individualized support that enables students to design a pathway to achieve their personal, academic, and postsecondary goals. This includes reviewing graduation requirements, developing individualized courses of study, supporting credit recovery, and helping students explore realistic options for college, career, and life beyond high school.

At PLHS, we recognize that every student’s journey is different. Your pathway may look different, but your possibilities are still endless. My role is to help students identify their strengths, understand their options, and create a plan that prepares them for what comes next.

I work closely with each student’s family and support system because I believe collaboration and strong relationships are essential to student success. I also create opportunities for students to see what is possible beyond high school by coordinating college and career exploration, campus visits, field trips, and other experiences that expose them to possibilities they may not have previously considered.

My role also includes crisis and short-term counseling, student transitions and enrollment, IEP/COP collaboration, college and career readiness, and connecting students and families with appropriate academic, behavioral, mental health, and community resources.

Most importantly, I want every student at PLHS to feel seen, supported, and empowered. There is more than one pathway to success, and your current circumstances do not determine your future. We are here to help you earn your diploma, discover your options, and design the pathway toward your goals.

I am blessed to be the school counselor who gets to work with the amazing students and families of Perris Lake High School and Perris Union High School District.
